A Season of Family, Responsibility, and Loving the Earth

Christmas is a season rooted in tradition. It is a time for gathering with family, sharing stories, and passing values from one generation to the next. At Return Polymers, this time of year reminds us that the work we do every day goes beyond recycling PVC. Those values are reflected close to home for Return Polymers’ Senior Supply Chain Manager, Perry Tanner.

Perry’s 10-year-old granddaughter, Karsyn, wrote a book last summer called Love the Earth. Inspired by what she sees around her and the conversations she has with her family, the book focuses on caring for the planet through simple but meaningful actions such as recycling, reducing waste, and respecting natural resources.

What makes Love the Earth so impactful is not just that it is written by a child. It reflects a mindset that aligns closely with the values at Return Polymers. Sustainability works best when it becomes part of everyday life and is passed down within families and communities.

Karsyn represents the next generation of environmental stewards. Children are watching, learning, and forming opinions about the world they will inherit. Her passion is a reminder that recycling is not only an industrial process or a business decision. It is a responsibility we share.

During the holidays, families everywhere are creating memories by decorating trees, wrapping gifts, and sharing meals. It is also the time of year that produces more waste than any other. Making intentional choices to recycle and reuse is a meaningful way to show care not only for one another, but for the planet as well.
